Danish Mid century high back Cognac Leather lounge chair by Hans Olsen 
 
The Model 2191 armchair was designed by Hans Olsen in 1961 and made in Denmark by Brdr. Juul Kristensen and features gently rounded wooden arms. In this chair we have the classic upholstery of cognac leather that creates a warm and inviting aesthetic that is matched by the comfort of the chair. This is the high back version, but as you can see from the last two pictures, there is also a low back version I have available via my other listings on this website HERE and the Arne Vodder console table HERE too.
 
It’s presented in untouched vintage condition and therefore has wear commensurate with age and use. Overall though this is mostly wear to the seat, as shown, and there are no rips, tears or holes in the leather or major marks to the wooden frame. The seat pad could of course be restored and that’s a matter of personal taste as many prefer for a vintage item to show it’s age through marks and patina – so I have left well enough alone…
